Our story
Our bilingual Mandarin-English Montessori preschool was founded by two Taiwanese mothers with a shared passion for nurturing young children through a holistic, child-centered approach.
Our school is deeply rooted in the core principles of Dr. Maria Montessori: respect for the child, independence, hands-on learning, and the prepared environment. We believe that every child is naturally curious and capable, and our role is to guide rather than instruct—allowing children to explore at their own pace and follow their inner drive to learn. This authentic Montessori foundation is paired with a highly sought-after bilingual Mandarin-English program, giving children the cognitive and cultural benefits of dual-language immersion from an early age.
In addition to academic and language development, we take a whole-child approach that integrates nutrition, physical movement, music, and art into the daily rhythm of the classroom. These elements are not add-ons, but essential parts of our philosophy—helping children develop healthy bodies, joyful hearts, and creative minds.We are two former Montessori school teachers and mothers originally from Taiwan. We deeply understand that early childhood is a crucial period for shaping a child’s personality and development. Finding the right preschool is always a top priority for parents. That’s why we decided to open a Montessori preschool in our own home—to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow, and to cultivate their independence, autonomy, and sense of responsibility through Montessori education.
Our amazing teacher
Ms. Kitti holds a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Montessori Education and has over four years of experience as a lead Montessori teacher. Originally trained in fashion design and once working across Asia in the film industry, she found her true calling in education after becoming a mother and discovering the Montessori philosophy. Her classrooms are now filled with creativity, calm, and purpose—reflecting her deep commitment to each child’s growth.
Ms. Fang, with a Master’s degree from ASU in Counseling, brings expertise in child development, emotional wellness, and behavioral health. Her background shapes the school’s emphasis on nurturing not just the intellect, but the whole child—through movement, mindfulness, nutrition, and empathy-based learning.
Our Mission
Starry Night Montessori is a bilingual Montessori school offering a high-quality early education in both Mandarin and English for children ages 3 to 6. Our mission is to uncover and nurture each child’s natural gifts through a balance of structured learning and self-directed exploration. In a carefully prepared environment, children develop essential life skills—concentration, creativity, confidence—while building strong bilingual language foundations. We believe talent thrives where children are respected, challenged, and inspired. Our program prepares children not just for academic success, but for a lifetime of meaningful growth.
